Hardness testers are a high-precision measuring instrument designed to measure the hardness of materials and products without destroying the test sample. The principle of operation of hardness testers is based on the mechanical action of special tips (indentors) under load on the surface under study, followed by measuring the size of the resulting prints and determining the hardness according to tables with empirical data or on the hardness tester scale.
Stationary Rockwell hardness testers of the ITR type are used to measure the hardness of metals and their alloys, graphite, plastics, pressed wood, plywood, protective coatings. ITR type hardness testers provide tests in the load range from 15 kgf to 150 kgf.
Stationary Brinell hardness testers of the ITB type are used to determine the hardness of soft alloys, non-ferrous metals, cast iron and non-hardened steels in accordance with GOST 9012-59.
Stationary ITV-type Vickers hardness testers allow testing samples of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, semi-precious and precious stones, surfaces with zinc, chrome and tinned coating with simultaneous analysis of the resulting print and surface structure.
Stationary Vickers microhardometers of the ITV type are used to assess the hardness of small samples or thin sheets of metals, steels, ceramics, thin films of coatings, hard alloys, thin hardened layers and coatings with small load ranges from 10 gs to 5 kgf according to the methods of Vickers, Knup and Berkovich in accordance with GOST 2999-75, GOST R ISO 6507-1-2007, GOST R ISO 22826-2012, GOST R ISO 4545-1-2015.
Stationary hardness testers using the Super-Rockwell method of the ITRS type allow measuring the hardness of small parts, parts with hardened surface layers, aluminum alloys, thin plates and other materials. Hardness testers provide tests in the load range from 15 kgf to 45 kgf.
Portable hydraulic hardness testers TPB-GMA, TPB-GRA are designed for measuring the hardness of metals and alloys on the Brinell scale in accordance with GOST 22761-77.
Portable mechanical hardness testers TPBR-VMC, TPR-VMC, TPB-VMC, TPR-VMA, TPBR-VMA are designed to measure the hardness of metals and alloys on the Brinell scale in accordance with GOST 22761-77 and Rockwell.
